G12H75 creamback vs. G12H30 anni.

I have a G12H30 anniv. and find it too bright. How does the Creamback 75 compare in that respect?

I've had both side by side. First off, the Heritage 75 is 30 watts. Creamback is 75 watts.

Heritage is brighter, but actually smoother on the top. The Creamback has some grit in the highs. The Heritage has a leaner low end that makes it tighter. In comparison, the Creamback has a really big low end.....like an Anniversary H30 on roids. There is a ton of high mids on the Heritage while the Creamback seems almost scooped in comparison.......but not as scooped as the Anniv H30.

I prefer the Creamback and they mix perfectly with V30's. I DO NOT like the 65watt small magnet Creamback.

Is it new? Those are notoriously time-consuming to break in. They're bright out of the box, but warm up after time.

For the record the G12H-30 Ann. sounds nothing like the Heritage G12H.

Is it new? Those are notoriously time-consuming to break in. They're bright out of the box, but warm up after time.

No, but I hadn't really used the 1x12 EVH much since getting a V30 loaded 2x12 a year ago. Actually I have but not for guitar, I have the 1x12 as an extension for my Classic 30 to play drum beats through. I'm hoping they've broken in more but I haven't played guitar through it in a while.

I'm toying with the idea of another 2x12 sometime down the road with a different flavor, hoping to avoid the things I didn't like about the H30 anni., which is the scooped mids and blaring high end to my ears. Sounds like the CB 75 is sort of along those lines but less abrassive, and possibility good for mixing with something else with more mids like V30s.

I have all three but have not installed the H75 Creambacks to pair with the V30s in my Splawn cab. Now the V30/G12H30 70th Anny's do sound damn good!! The Heritage H75s kick ass and I have them paired with the Heritage H55's in my Marshall BHW cab. Sounds massive!!

I find the 30 Anni to be pretty bright too. I have just one in my 4x12 in case I want to record a darker amp but ultimately I never use it.

I have the 75 Creamback mixed with V30 and I love it!

but remember, when you have all four of the same speaker, they respond and move air more evenly and cut through a mix better than if using mixed type speakers...
