G12K-100 - NSD , Canada post sucks ass!!!!!! CLIPS ADDED!!!!

So my new speakers will be here today, or tomorrow. I am going to put them in my Buzzbomb :rock: . I have never had a chance to check these out, but I have heard a lot of great things about them.

Anyone who has tried them, what should I expect from these bad boys??!!??!!??!!
 
think G12T75's but with tighter and slightly more pronounced low mid, and a touch more highs, but no so much to be brittle or ice pick bright.
I've got 'em in my front-loaded VHT cab - they rock with the Diezels. :thumbsup: :rock:
 
:rock: Right now I am rocking an Eminence man-o-war which is a G12T-75 clone :rock:

I want more low mids, that is where chunk is created. I will have to get my mics setup and do some clips. I have a few with the Man-o-war, and it is killer with my Peters :rock:
 
As of 5 min ago these are out for delivery!!!!! I am going to remove my current speakers while I wait, and get my soldering iron ready to go!!!!

I am planning on doing as much damage as 20 watts will let me!!!!!! :rock:
 
I really want a 4x12 loaded with these bad boys. Just gotta get the monies.
 
Since my wife gets home from work in about 5 min, an still no Canada post I will not be able to play until tomorrow.

I just think that I have a lazy mail carrier. My mail box is across the street, and twice now I have watched her put a delivery slip saying "no answer" in the mail box. I go get the slip, drive to the post office about two blocks away, and there is my amp, or guitar.

I have a home office, and my window looks out towards my mail box. I think that next time I should be waiting for her at the mail box :gethim: :gethim: :gethim:
 
I have 2 cabs with v30/gk100s in an x-pattern ( a diezel cab and a bogner cab). I preferred the x-pattern over all GKs. The Gks have a tight low-end, thick/full mids and a smooth top-end.
 
I think I will try a V30 with G12K. I can see that working very well. I just have to call Canada post, rip their head off through the phone, go to the post office to get the speakers, then I will give it a try.
 
:thumbsdown: My speakers went out for delivery yesterday at 10am, and they still say out for delivery :thumbsdown:

That means that they sat in the postal carrier's car overnight in -20 weather :no: I hope they are ok. I will have to warm them up slowly so that I don't get any condensation in the coil.

Great sounding cabs that look killer!!!!! I have two earcandy cabs, the buzzbomb 212, and a boa 112 which is discontinued because he couldn't make enough money on the boas. It is a 112 with a removable half bak panel. It is a great sounding cab, and nothing that I have heard can tough my buzzbomb.
 
I need to rant a bit about Canada post. Only a government run company could pull some of the stuff that they try to pull. My speakers went out for delivery yesterday at 10am, and after spending 30min on the phone with people at Canada post they think that I might get a delivery card with my mail today, and be able to pick it up after 6pm tonight!!!!!!!! No delivery attempt made, my speakers sitting in a car in -20 overnight, and not available for an extra day. Plus if I get them after 4pm I won't have a good chance to crank them tonight. I pulled the speakers out of my cab yesterday around lunch time since the new ones should have been delivered by about 2pm. To top it all off they won't compensate anyone for the missed delivery. At least with UPS, FedEx, or Purolator if they miss a delivery time, and can't attempt delivery for one reason or another they will at least refund the shipping cost, or give you a credit for future shipments, or if they really screw up they will give you both. But since Canada post delivers all the mail in Canada you have no choice but to use them for at least your regular mail. And now the mail carriers are making extra money buy delivering flyers with the mail as if junk mail wasn't bad enough.

I have only had one shipment in the last 10-12 that they didn't screw up on. That was some tube sockets that I ordered from China. There was no duty, and they actually delivered it to my door. They screwed up on my Peters, Egnater, transformers, and a bunch of non gear related ebay purchases. I would not be pissed off if they only screwed up one or two thing here, and there, but to screw up every single one that tells me that the mail carrier don't care about their job, or they are intentionally trying to piss people off.

Sorry for the long rant, but I feel much better now. Maybe I won't wait at the mail box for my mail carrier :gethim: :boxer: :powpow:
 
So the speakers were droped off at the post office this morning. I piced them up, and installed them, and all I can say is \:D/ These are wicked cool speakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post a clip soon. I am getting my mic set up!!!!
