My band has been around for a year and half and Carl has talked his BS from day one, calling up the places we play , saying that hes going to come and tape, hes going to bring a karate expert Blah blah blah blah...

Carl, what cam is that? I'm looking for a new one with excelent quality stereo sound, but the ones that I've looked into (Sony) are a bit pricey.

It's a Canon HV-30. Built-in stereo mike and you can set the levels manually if desired.

I also got the Rode Stereo Videomic that attaches to the top.

Did you use the built-in stereo mic or the outboard Rode Stereo Videomic on that recording?

Used the RODE!!

Built-in is OK. The RODE is $250 and gonna be superior. makes the cam heavier. It was the first time i used it to shoot a band. i could have used a mono-pod thing.

funny how you say you cant work and collect disability /welfare but are more than ok to go out and tape shows or go to guitar stores etc...
