Gain pedals into clean amp. Up front or in loop?

I've always run my gain pedals into the front of an amp but was curious if it matters? Does anyone put a gain pedal into the effects loop?

usually comp / gain / boost / EQ and some modulation in front; I only put time based effects (mod, delay, reverb) in the effects loop.

Into clean amp I don’t use the loop if there is one. Just pedalboard into clean channel.

Boost pedals into a dirty amp I've always put them in front, same with a distortion pedal into a clean platform. Clean boost in the effects loop worked well for me in the past , did exactly what it was supposed to do

Yep, I got my clean boost in the loop to add volume for the solos. ?

I run my thor's hammer in the loop. It works up front but that's not where it shines. Everything else up front.
