After jamming on this head with multiple guitars through multiple cabinets the only complaint I had was that it feeds back more than my other amps and has a decent amount of hiss. Other than that this thing is a beast. Super chunky tones, crisp cleans, way overdriven metal tones, ac/dc tones, it does a lot and does it all well. I typically only play heavy riffs, but I will have to experiment a little more with this one. Definitely not a one trick pony. Lots of people have said you have to sit with this amp for awhile to dial it in, I had some very satisfying tones dialed in under 5 minutes. Unlike my Bogner, that took forever to dial in and God forbid I change anything it will take an hour to get the tone I liked back.

The different distortion modes are killer(green Orange red) it's like having an od pedal in front of the amp in red mode.

This amp is super saturated if you want it to be and sounds like super smooth liquid(if thats possible lol)

Just snagged a Mode Four cabinet for it. An amazing pairing!

I almost bought one of the JVM Satriani models a while back. But something came up.

My advice, don't. Otherwise you will likely have to buy it. Now that it's at home I like it even more than at the shop. Mostly because I can crank it up. I'm not one of those guys that turns stuff way up at the shops. If you can get some serious tones at low volume that's usually a really good sign.

This is my first Marshall other than those mini 9v powered ones ever. None of them have ever had enough gain for me. Granted I haven't played them all.

Yeah thats why I dont diss an amp if I play it at the store. Got to play it thru my rig. Then if I dont like it....hits the curb.

There are a few amps that I couldn't get a good sound from. Engl powerball II comes to mind. It was in the guitar center platinum room. I was all alone, so I got to crank it up and mess with it for about an hour. Sounded really compressed and dry. Plus it was $4k+ for the half stack, so no way was I going to take that chance.

Look nice, sounds good!

Thank you. The looks are pretty much just typical Marshall with way more knobs. The sound is what really sets it apart. You can get just about any sound you could want out of the head(not effects of course)

This is one of those amps I "must" own at some point...

I agree 100%. This OD that a dialed in is the same in both videos. Just turning the guitar volume up/down makes the difference between a nice metal crunch to insane heavy heavy tones. On top of that it was on the Orange setting. It still has a red setting which would be like putting a boost in front of the amp. I haven't even tried my Tubescreamer in front of it yet. Haven't felt the need. This amps EQ section is awesome and does what it should do. Low/mid/high knobs are actually low/mid/high vs. Lots of other amps that controls say one thing but do something else.

The cleans on this amp are awesome, by far the best of any of my amps. This thing is versatile! Can't wait to pair it with a Marshall cab, looking for a mode four for the speaker variety, & I've heard the mode four cabs are monsters

Dont own one but think the JVM is a killer amp, like your collection of amps btw.... 1 for everyday of the week ;)

The jvm has so many facets it's like a new amp any time you want it to be. Near impossible to get a bad sound from it. I've been regularly twisting knobs and pushing buttons to check the sounds that it makes and it's never ending. Definitely a killer amp.

I play all my amps almost daily, they all have their nuances. I like them all for certain things and see opportunity for improvements in others. I've been trying to find one amp that will do it all, so far the jvm comes closest to that out of all the amps I've played/owned.

I'm currently trying to find a Marshall cabinet for the jvm, I'm thinking of the mode four cab so ak can try the Celestion k-100's. I've heard that cabinet is a monster and has Uberkab type qualities. Hopefully I'll get to find out myself.

Always enjoyed the JVMs that I've played, but if I were to get one it would have to be the 410. OD1 on that head is HEAVEN for me. Not saying OD2 is bad, but OD1 (especially orange mode) is just so much sweeter. I could live in that channel.

I've been trying a lot of different settings on both channels, the Orange mode is definitely the sweet spot on both OD channels, red is just gain beyond gain

I wanna hear that Krankenstein! They have a unique tone to them.
