You tell me? I mean how fucking slow can they be. I bought a guitar from them LAST FUCKING TUESDAY over the phone. They're shipping it from Florida to NJ. I shipped out a guitar myself to FLorida Wed. and the guy got it Saturday morning. My fucking guitar hasn't even been brought to a UPS shipping HUB, the tracking # says a label was created, that's it.. What were they doing last week all that time? :uzi: At least O get a 45 day return option, AND 1meanplexi is NOT involved in this transaction at all...WHEH!

Call them or call customer service and they will make magic things happen.

Yeah, I'd definitely call them. Something's not right.

I've purchased plenty from them and have never had them ship more than two business days after I gave them the money. Guess I've been lucky.

Guitar Center and Musicians friend ship out of Kansas City ,MO. The typical process is all the free shipping are put behind all the paid shipping (3 day, 2 day air, etc) so when you get free ground shipping, they ship after the paid orders go. I live close enough that I should always get next day shipping, but I don't sometimes takes 5 days. So If I want it the next day, I have to pay for 2 day air and then I get it the next day.

Free shipping orders are the lowest priority orders from processing from the time they ship.

I bought a new PRS custom 24 out of Arizona and paid for 2 day shipping. They created a label on day 1 and it sat for 3 days until I called. They said their shipping system was "messed up". It went out the day I called and they reimbursed me the 2 day charge. On the other hand I bought a used amp out of NY and had it the next day with their economy shipping. All depends on the store.

I think the OP is buying an item that is from a store in Fla...in which case you have to deal with that stores operations mgr and his/her shipping person. If you call them and bitch they will send it next day or 2 day at the most. I ordered a used vintage cab from a Texas store last week, Monday, and by Wed it hadn't shipped..called and they shipped Thurs and I got it today. I'm in Wi. Call and bitch, they'll do something.

I called the store directly today to get the tracking and WOW, all of a sudden the tracking info works. Says it will arrive Thursday, when I paid last Wed. It takes 3 days to ship from Florida to NJ. They slept on it until I called. Assholes!

At least it was still going to come. I had a delay in an amp shipping and had to call to find out it had somehow become "unavailable". They couldn't even tell me it had been sold, just that it was unavailable.

I've had that happen. I'll order from the online site, and in a day or two I'll get an email stating that I was refunded. WTF?
Someone else probably bought it just before I did and the website didn't reflect it.

That is very common with GC.

^+1. Had that happen to me. They didn't really know what happened, just that the item was now unavailable. They're only guess was that someone put it on layaway before I bought it online. But it was odd that even the actual store that had the guitar didn't really know what was going on. That seems like a bad thing for the store manager not to be able to tell me why something is unavailable.

I hate being a douche but I am what I am :D

If it is a common item (if they have more than 1) You could write the store an email on how you have spent thousands of dollars over the years, that GC is always your go to but now you will never spend another dime there. They will price match is they have another of the same item used in another location.

I was pretty mad about it. I get that they had just one item and it was for sale nationally and in the store, and that it easily could have just been bought by someone else. But when neither the store nor whoever answered the national phone number could tell me "oh yes, sorry someone else bought it," I got a bit upset. How can their system even function like that? To know that it wasn't available but not know why. I don't understand why they'd be covert about it, but I just couldn't understand that they really didn't know. Seemed like BS. That or there system has some real problems.

There was a used PRS custom 24 online for a great price, killer finish. I called and asked for some pics. Guy described it,told me how nice it was, mentioned something about his friend having it on layaway but couldn't come up with the money.Said he would send me pics. Never got the pics, called back, they said he was on lunch and would give him the message. Few hours later, no pics, I went ahead to buy it anyway and sure enough it was no longer available. Pretty sure there was something fishy going on there. It ended up showing up again a few weeks later but I was over it by then.

Yeah, maybe this funny stuff is employees covering for their buddies or something.

I found a Mark V online for $1150. Store was an hour away, called them to put a deposit down. They said they were having trouble with their system and they told me to call back later. I asked them to hold the amp for me, they said OK. Drove an hour there, they said sorry it's been sold! :codeak:

I found a Mesa Trans Atlantic combo that was just listed that morning for $599. Bought it. Had the manager of the store call me a few hours later and said it was a misprint and was a 1x12 cabinet not an amp, so he cancelled my order. :gethim: I think the misprint was on the price, not the description. I still have gotten some killer deals. Best was a Mesa Express 5:50+ combo in British Cabernet & Wicker for $700 . Still had the hang tags and this was a few years ago when the + had just come out. List was almost $1800 new and they and were going for $1200 used for for plain black.
