I've been searching around to no avail all day. I remember reading somewhere that there is a way to mod a GCX so that you don't have to manually patch every loop together with short inset cables (from OUT to IN). Does anyone have any info/links/pics/schematics on how to do this? I can get a GCX cheap and would like to do this to clear up potential clutter.

I imagine you would need to open it up and tie the inputs and outputs together with internal wire jumpers. But is a 4 inch exterior jumper really clutter? It's the one thing that isn't clutter with those. I use George L cable as the ends and cable are quite small and also have great tonal quality. Plus you would want to be able to break that connection if you wanted to use a loop for sending switching commands to an amp.

It's just a bad idea.
It would limit what it can do in many, many ways.

I have a Bradshaw 4x4 Audio controller and it is set up the way you want your GCX. It certainly clears up loads of wires in a rack. I haven't opened up a GCX but the 8 loos are normal closed (NC) and they need to be normal open NO). Seems it would only involve reversing the wiring between loops. Shouldn't be a big undertaking.

just get a RJM RG-16 and be done. you can also use it as an amp switcher and it is easier (for me) to program.

Just jump them with George L's
The board is PCB and you will need to remove each jack, isolate the original contact, and make new holes with jumper wires.
Kinda pointless since all you need is an inch and a half of George L's per loop.
