I recently downsized from a Boss GT-100 to a GT-1. I planned to use a FS-7 but it turns out I didn't need it; with the onboard CTL1 I can have up to 6 assigns per patch; this translates into two sounds per patch which covers everything I need, I have a few sets of 5 patches, each with 2 sounds...so far. I think Boss did some tweaking to COSM as the GT-1 sounds better (more clear, rich, full, dimensional,...) than my GT-100.

After NAMM, I preordered a Mooer Micro Preamp pedal (01 - based on Diezel Hagen amp) - it's a micro pedal with 2 channels, can be used direct or in front of an amp. Ola's demo convinced me:

I plan to use this preamp pedal with my pedals for a direct board; also have a Hotone Xstomp preordered.

I also ordered a Mooer PE100 that's even smaller than my GT-1 and may replace it in my post-punk, '80s new wave / synth pop / synth wave / emo derivative solo rig. For this rig, the more compact the better; just need to organize patches effectively

Everything is different, but the same... things are more moderner than before... bigger, and yet smaller... it's computers... SAN DIMAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES!!!

Ola makes everything sound great. He can make a wet fart in a paper bag sound like a Recto stack.

That said, the 001 pedal does sound good. I have to check one out.

I preordered mine with a discount from Prymaxe. Street price is $98

NAMM had quite a few cab IR boxes for the floor, which is very cool. I'm interested in the BluGuitar BluBox personally. Overdrive "amp in a box" pedals sound so good these days. You could build a board with some of those plus boosts of your favorite flavor and whatever modulation you need and be good to go. Run the BluBox at the end of the chain straight out to the board or to headphones/monitors at home. A great home practice rig that doubles as a backup rig for your gig, if you bother to use an amp at all.
