Gear related.....in room mic only of Eruption

I know most of you may have seen this.
I'm posting it again.
If you don't like it, please stop reading, click on the back button and go onto something else. :D
This one is slightly different then Vid #1 and there is a Vid #2.5 right behind this one that I have not even seen before.

This is mic only no reverb or delay added. Just the raw track.

They talk about Studio 1 vs Studio 2. SM56 vs SM57. How the mic was hanging overhead like a drum mic. There is some extra time delay at the end of Eruption. There is an alternate ending to Jamie's Crying that they play. They talk about the variac and the need to rebias the amp (19m). Just lots of cool stuff in here - even if you are not an EVH fan.

For an actual millisecond, I thought the grey haired
sorta’ grouchy dude was Dave Friedman, but Dave ain’t so grouchy and regardless if it was 40 years ago,
there’s only one Eruption..C’MON man.

Sooooo boost or no boost? Lol. The variac squishes it up a bit but I always feel that gain comes from an eq kicking it up. Yes I know hot pup, jbl brightness etc...but that tone grinds way more than most guys who were turning everything to 10. With every VH gear post, there has to be at least one comment like this so here it is!
