Mesa Mark IIC+. But only if they can do it right! Afterall, Mesa claims the Mark V and the IV nail the IIC+. :jerkit:

Agreed - I had a Mark IIC+ for a while, and at the same time I had a Mark IV B. This was probably around 2001. Tonally, the IV could get close, but I'd say about 90% to the IIC+. The clean channel was waaaay better on the C+ and the overall feel was way different. The C+ has a very distinct feel to it - almost a buttery, slippery feel. While both are great amps, I always felt the IVB was a little sterile.

And the Mark V is more sterile and compressed than the IV. It seems the more junk they try to cram in these amps comes at the sacrifice of tone.

Seeing alot of IIC+ on here I'd like to see it too but. . . . . I don't think Boogie knows what a IIC+ really sounds like anymore. It's like having the same super hot wife for 20 yrs. When you stop knowing what is good for you, you start to loose a reference point of what you really have. With all the IIC+ hype I've heard in the 10 yrs I've been playing you think Mesa would have done something bout it by now.

I wish Gibson would drop the current early reissue Explorers and go with a 1984 reissue for normal production.

This...and I would be down for a Blonde '62-'64 era, Bassman head reissue. MK IIC+ just so I could actually try one in a store.

Burns Bison
I think these are available from Burns in England. I know they have reissues of several of their guitars, all with those cool single coils. Some are imports and some are not (spendy).

I would like to see Gibson go back to building their production line guitars with proper spec and qc

Would like Marshall re-do the 2203 re-issue so it sounds as good as the originals.

But I guess it may not matter because I wouldn't pay over 2K, new, for that either
