George Lynch jamming at NAMM 2011 - VIDEO

Not the best quality but this is George Lynch jamming at NAMM with his Mr.Scary guitars. I recorded this with a new NIKON SLR HD Camera and I was standing right in front of him.

Should of used my ZOOM as the background noise is off the charts but yes it sounded just like this in the booth.

From what I remember it was channel 2 with the gain on like almost off. He set it up and the setting were advant guard for sure.

Funny I had just heard our own KillerTone here on the forum play the most amazing heavy stuff on the same amp 1 hour before. As a matter of fact everyone I heard play it including me sounded really good.

when i went to the randall lynch clinic he was fighting the lych box so hard, he really had to work that amp and made himself look miserable.

Apparently he has been admiring a lot of country players and their picking.. hence less gain. Problem is, his style is largely dependent on gain! What has gotten into this guy. Seriously.. now, was he using his new "lynchbacks" or were these his SuperV's?

I think he sounds like everyone of us who try to play ditties beyond our current skill set. Some of it may sound killer, but nonetheless, shit for the most part. If he wants to go this direction, he needs to hang with Andy Wood or Guthrie for a while...but then again, don't we all?

That just sounds like complete garbage. Does he not listen back to himself on these countless shitty wankfests he has been doing for the longest time?

If he was strung out on drugs i could understand but he is not. The cleaner amp setting is not the problem because i have heard him recently playing with higher gain and he still sounded awfull

Thanks! Just saying George has had a long career. The other guys.... Technique doesnt equal a career Those vids are so distorted w/ so much backround noise, it's hard to get an idea of the sound.
