That guy was a joke from the beginning and it has taken what, 6 months to bring the hammer down? I realize the wheels of justice move slowly but they were crawling this time. Every time I saw his smarmy mug on tv I wanted to reach out and slap him. Matters nothing to me what party he’s in, he was just a professional con man.

I just read the list of crimes, inaccuracies and theft and am even more amazed that he has avoided prison for this long.

I generally don’t comment on US domestic politics BUT
in this guy’s case, from reading about his activities prior to his political career,
my purely speculative guess is that
he entered politics in the hope that the political establishment would provide him some kind of immunity from, or protection from the consequences of, his career as a common criminal

From really early on there's been this somewhat background story of him coming up with
a hefty sum of money not too long before he announced running.
I've never read any resolution about it and never heard it flat out de-bunked.
Who's the puppet master? What kinds of inside information has he been privy to while in DC?
Paranoid thinking, but everything about the guy has been Twilight Zone stuff so who knows?
