My rhythms on 'Monolith' are double-tracked and low-heavy, so the solo has to cut without just turning everything up. I leaned on mids and a tighter gain stage for the lead so it sits on top of the mix, then let the final held note do the heavy lifting. How do you set your rhythm vs lead gain for that separation?
