getting a Marshall JMP-1: VHTor Marshall Power amp ?

For a few "metal" projects...

Should I go with a VHT 2/50/2 or a Marshall Mono block 50 watter?

I have both the Marshall EL34 50/50 and the VHT 2/50/2. No matter which preamp I run through them the VHT is the most desirable - more grit and fire. Plus the VHT can be switched between Class A or Class A/B modes.

You will need to speak to Kurt (kurtsstuff) as he is the resident JMP-1 expert and has a fetish for them. In the closet, under the bed, behind a door, on an amp, on his brother's amp

He has used it with quite a few power amps and into the power section of several amps. If you have another Marshall head or favorite head with a loop, just use a Y-cable into the loop return from the JMP-1.
