I have a Blackheart BH100H half stack I bought when I was younger. It's been sitting for years and I am not sure what to do with it. I've considered selling it to Guitar Center but I'd be shocked if they offered me more than 200 bucks. I am sure shipping would be crazy expensive so throwing it on Reverb may not be worth it. Another alternative would be donating it for a tax credit. I don't think this would be something that will increase in value otherwise I'd hang on to it. What would you guys do?

Put it on craigslist for a good price or donate it to someones kid who plays guitar. It would probably make their year.

Craigslist, Offer Up, Let Go, Donate.

GC will rape you. If you do that bring protection.

Personally If you are looking to donate you could try a middle school or a high school. The band directors really appreciate stuff like that.

Craigslist and FB marketplace are horrible in Dallas. So bad in fact that the last 2 guitars I had for sale I ended up getting for from GC than any online offers. Nothing but broke musicions and flippers, both resulting in rediculous offers

Try CraigsList first. That's the one I've had pretty good luck with. You can try other free-ish places, like here and TGP and eBay but with CL you'll sell locally and fairly quickly, if you do sell it for cheap guys like us will just buy it because it's a great deal.

Then we thin the herd again, and then we repeat that,.... doh.

Tampa is quite lively as far as CL. I have moved a ton of stuff in the past few months, albeit a few were trades, but they fell in my favor.

I second CL. That amp isn't worth shipping IMO. just put it up and see what you get. It WILL be higher than GC. The cab should fetch $100 fast if you want to get rid of it. Head I don't know the value but give it a shot.

Thanks guys. I'll probably wind up donating it, will be my good deed of the year. The guitars and pedals I have an over abundance of will hit Reverb.

Local church youth group would love to have it and you could get a nice tax credit .....

I say school band. Churches get funds easier.

But it's up to the OP.

Sell your 4x12 cab locally on Craig's List/etc. or Reverb (local pickup only), use funds to get a 2x12 or 1x12 closed back cab for your amp head, or a 1x12 combo amp. Guitar Center won't offer much, but donating for a tax credit to a non profit organization might work out.

You'd have to be itemizing everything these days as you would do as self employed, business owner, or contractor. They raised the standard deduction so charitable donations are not going to help you at all on taxes, again this is if you don't itemize which is most people.

If you do the Facebook thing instead of listing it on Facebook Marketplace try and find a local Gear Sale/Swap Group on Facebook. I’ve had a lot more luck selling stuff on that then I have on Craigslist or on FB Marketplace - marketplace is honestly worse than craigslist, people offer $50 on items you have listed for $400 and then get angry when you say no.

I have one of those heads and am wondering the same thing lol. It's not bad, just a bit generic sounding. But loud as hell (wattage step downs don't sound too great IMO,) heavy and just about the size of a bus.

I may trade it in at GC toward something I want. I really do care if I get much for it. Good luck, whatever you decide to do with it.

As others said, local Facebook group or Craigslist.

And if you want to move it, add "Trades Considered". You never know what kind of killer trade deal might surface going that route.

I'd try doing mods on it, and wouldn't feel bad if i fucked it up :D
