Imagine being Beato and as you’re filming it, the realization of, Fuck, this guy is a total fraud. Wonder how that went down because I can’t imagine they bothered finishing as he had to tell him to forget about it. I mean the second you see he’s a fraud, don’t you say, this isn’t happening, get the fuck out of my house/studio?

Awkward. Depends if you are straight to the point or a Larry David type. Could end up a Seinfeld episode if too polite/neurotic to call him out.

I hope this means the next big trend in music is people not faking performances anymore.

The only time that should ever be acceptable is when filming a music video for a band, where it’s obvious what everyone is doing. If you can’t play it live within a handful of takes, practice & try again later.

I somehow imagine this guy being a guest right between Yngwie & Nuno.

Ooor, you would realize that, at some point, shit would hit the fan, and you could use that to promote yourself with an "I knew it all along" video.
Beato has some good content, and I respect him for that, but he's no stranger to clickbait titles and general YouTuber trend leeching behavior.

I’ve never seen his videos until all this popped up. But any video that sounds produced and perfect I’ve always assumed was mimicking the actual recording, like a music video of the past. But seeing someone pretending to be playing what you’re hearing and passing it off as live and clearly is a recording is shitty.

Troy is the man! Cracking the code has helped me more with my picking than any other resource. If nothing else it helps you realize what you're doing when something is difficult and how to modify what you're doing to make it easier.

Also it just speaks to the public that those lame assed short videos are about the limit of many peoples attention spans. They just want 20 seconds of some bullshit mugging for the camera rather than an entire song or actual performance.
 
Grade A piece of shit. Fuck him. My lesson, however, is already paid for so I'm going.
