My friend has a chance to buy a used Gibson Custom shop 1960' Les Paul plaintop like the one above, the color is Autum Burst for 2K, is this a good deal and is this a VOS Gibson?

That's a good price for a R0. He should pull the trigger.

That's what they go for used. So if it's new that's a great price. I bought mine new for 2700, I think they normally are around 3200. Killer guitars by the way, been my number one for 4 years.

That looks like a G0. I have one and love it. Paid like 2600. new. I think the color on those is Light Burst. Mine came with what they call the custom authentic finish also. Like a light aged deal, not reliced.

That is what they sell for, so its not an excellent deal, its a fair deal...

In my opinion they are worth the money

My best friend pulled the trigger, it's an R0 with 57' Classic pups formerly owned by someone who worked in the Custom shop at Gibson, 2K took the guitar.

Good man. I believe it's a GO, a R0 plaintop exclusive to guitar center. Congrats!

Man I love those plaintops.

Much prefer them to flamed.

Its probably one of those Guitar center exclusives that they had out, I remember they were 2300 when they first arrived a few yrs back, they since raised the price alot, thats not a bad price these days if its in nice shape.
