Gibson has relaunched its first ever signature pickup – the Tony Iommi humbucker: $229.00 for ONE PICKUP

Thanks for sharing.
I didn’t remember he had a signature pickup with Gibson. Was there a particular album / live tour / guitar he had those in? I love Tony so I’ll have to look it up.

Glad to do it. I don't know when he used that pickup.

Any more than 120 bucks is too much for ANY pickup. I don't care if the devel himself made it.
a Lot of pickup builders rip the crap off of people.
Well ,,,, if the Devil made it ,,,,,,,, might be worth the coin .

It would HAVE to be ,,,,,,,, hot ,,,,,, 😄

I am going to get hate and I don't care: I have never cared for Tonny Iommi's tone.

It is cool for a bit - the wompy fuzz thing - but definitely not a 'tone I long for'.....

A special pickup to get closer.... Closer to what? Being broke.

It came stock in his signature SGs. The pickup was designed to sound like the bridge pickup in his Jaydee Old Boy, but in a standard humbucker housing.

I think the first recording with that guitar was the Reunion live album. He used it for the songs tuned down to C#.

Any Gibson he uses has those pickups in it. He had two of his signature SGs, one in red and one in black. The red one was stolen at the Dio tribute concert. The black one was used on the 13 tour for the new songs. He also has a white two-pickup SG Custom and a black SG Standard with Floyd Roses, used for Mob Rules on the last Dio tours.

I thought he used P90s?
His only main guitar with P90s was his Monkey SG, which he only used on the first six Sabbath albums/tours. He retired the Monkey in favor of John Birch and Jaydee guitars, which use high output minihumbuckers. He had a brief endorsement using Patrick Eggle guitars with a Seymour Duncan signature humbucker, which is still available from the Custom Shop as the El Diablo, before getting in bed with Gibson with the signature humbucker.
