So what's the current opinion on Gibson CS LP Axcess Standards with a Floyd Rose? Playability? Tone?

Ive played a few and want one. Playability was amazing but each one felt a little different like neck size. Ive also played a dud feeling one. If you can play it before you buy that would be best but if not, chances are it will be great

Is it the Access you're specifically looking for or a Les Paul with a Floyd Rose? If the latter, you can also look into a used Traditional Pro II Floyd model. I have one and it's awesome! Doesn't have the cutaways or the Access joint but that hasn't bothered me one bit.

I have two of them and absolutely love them. They do feel.a little different than a typical fixed bridge LP with full body depth but now a regular LP feels weird to me.
Lighter, more comfortable and the upper fret access is really awesome. The tone, look and feel of the LP neck and scale is all there.
I have to have a trem for the music we play and I love LPs so it is perfect for me.
I did put different pickups in mine and also replaced the FR bridge with Gotohs, but that was all personal preference.
They really rock and can be had for reasonable prices used.

I've had several of them over the past years. Currently have a Lifeson version. Absolutely love these guitars! They play and sound amazing! Like Peckhart, I changed my pickups as well and put in a Custom 5 and Jazz.

Get a PRS SC Trem or Tremonti. If you don't need the locking nut those guitars will shit all over whatever Gibson has to offer you.

I love them. No, they're not the same as a regular Les Paul but they are very good at what they do. Picked up this one-off gold top a while ago. My only thing is that some of them seem to be more weight relieved than others and I prefer those that feel more "solid".

Love mine, and the only LP I've ever really bonded with. I have an older one that came with Burstbuckers. I put an Aldrich at the bridge and it screams. Great guitar!
