Should be official.Gibson has lost every connection with the glorious past IMO  .After the Firebird X,the Jonas Sig,the Nickelback sig came this.I think Gibson has trully lost it.What do u guys think?

LPs with floyds are pretty badass if you ask me... It's not like they're changing every one of their models out for floyd ones.

I like floyds. I like LPs. I'm not a traditionalist, so it doesn't bug me. It won't sound like a LP but it might be a nice variation on it for some.

Raynman brough his over a few weeks ago, Different, yes. Sounds like a Lester, you bet.
Probably not as low mid heavy tone wise but the tummy cut and neckjoint cutaway makes it a real comfy player.
Burstbucker pickups just kicked ass through 3 differant amps we had here.

Some people like LP's. Some people like locking tremelo systems. Some people fall into both categories, such as Alex Lifeson with his new signature LP. Why should those people be excluded from Gibson's line-up? Because they aren't "traditional?". If we had ignored people and stayed with the traditional, not one of use would be here posting right now, and none of the music we commonly listen to would exist.

Fully agree with all this.

They've been out for a few years, what's soo new about it? I'm not a floyd guy and I'd never own an LP with one, but there's surely a market for it so it's a wise move by Gibson if you ask me.

IMO i think they has relied on tradition so much that they have no idea what to make anymore, that said,i have 8 Gibsons
and love them all

im not into les pauls, never even owned one but I would be interested in giving one a test drive with a floyd. I havent seen the axcess models with floyds recently but the lifeson model might be interesting. doesnt seem like a bad thing at all.

Some Floyd Pauls that i think are KILLER!!!!

Like the black one with the floyd :D

It would be nasty to see one non-recessed on a LP, recessed doesn't look bad whatsoever.

Im a LP guy and I always liked Floyds when I used to play Jackson. I think its a cool idea and would love to try one!

boston anyone?

1977, my 1st ever concert-- and I wanted a Les Paul w/ a tremolo ever since.

For the traditionalists-- How's this, for traditional?

how's about that epiphone are reissuing the nighthawk?

(one of the gibson models had a floyd if i'm not mistaken in the mid 90s)

i sold one recently, cool guitar but didn't gel with it, kinda suffered from the jack of all trades/master of none, good tones but nothing really strong about it i felt.
