how's about that epiphone are reissuing the nighthawk?

(one of the gibson models had a floyd if i'm not mistaken in the mid 90s)

i sold one recently, cool guitar but didn't gel with it, kinda suffered from the jack of all trades/master of none, good tones but nothing really strong about it i felt.

The Night Hawk looks odd to me.

Re: Les Pauls... in general, I'll play 100 to find 3 that are GREAT.

it wasn't discontinued for nothing =)

it probably also explains reissuing them via epiphone instead of the higher gibson tag,

Heres my Cheap floydpaul copy ... esp/ltd ec 1000 ... Call me nuts but I traded my Candy tangerine Charvel for it ! Was it worth the trade ... $$ wise maybe , playing wise for me 100% . Im not a collector . Only thing I'm debating is replacing the EMGs . I've played the ec's with seymours(JB and 59) and liked it better . Great cheap alternative , Thanks Jody(Thaifoo) !!!

No problem with LP's with a floyd here. However, I do not like Gibson's reverse V guitars, those just look stupid, IMO.

Coming from somebody that loves Les Paul's, I'd rock it in a heart beat!!!

+1, I hate those things too.

Raynman brough his over a few weeks ago, Different, yes. Sounds like a Lester, you bet.
Probably not as low mid heavy tone wise but the tummy cut and neckjoint cutaway makes it a real comfy player.
Burstbucker pickups just kicked ass through 3 differant amps we had here.

Ha, yeah the Axcess is pretty cool. I've owned many LP's and they've all been different...customs, standard, studio, R9, chambered R8 and a custom Silverburst. I never kept any of them a long period of time, but the Axcess seems like a keeper. The floyd is super solid and the neck joint sculpting really makes upper fret access MUCH different. I am not 100% sold on the Burstbuckers but overall the guitar is really cool and plays like a dream.
