Henry is a Nut Job.
He alienates the previous brand loyalists and throws tried and true tradition in the crapper.
Just so he can feel bigger than the brand.
I really wonder how he keeps his position. Is Gibson really making that much these days.
Because my local GC,s cant sell the new Gibsons they have.

He keeps his position because he owns the company, or at least the majority interest.

David Berryman and Henry's wife or ex-wife (whichever it is now) own the controlling interest. Henry is just the CEO. Use your imagination as to why he lost his controlling interest to the wife, ex-wife, whatever. Why he is kept around is still pretty amazing considering he's pretty much hated by everyone in the industry, most notably his staff but the company makes money and that is probably why. Berryman runs Epiphone and has no interest in the day to day of Gibson. I have several friends that work for the company, surprisingly they've managed to keep their jobs there for quite along time unlike most.
