Still enjoying the Axe live tone you get!

Out of curiosity... If you hold a note will the AxeFx feedback like an actual live tube amplifier?? I have always wondered about that when guys use Axe live.

It does for me since I’m using FRFR speakers on stage. You could still get it from stage monitors to though.
 
Dude, agree with Scottosan: come to Dallas. You sound great! I just got a BE50 and love it, but holy crap your AX8 is making me rethink my whole setup for live playing. Sounds great! What chorus are you using in the AX8 for that tone?

...And, how long did it take you to set that thing up for the various Ozzy eras? Was it pretty simple?
 
+1 Need you go to through the various stuff you're using in the AX8 for the different eras of tone. You're covering all the stuff from zakk wylde era to back when Randy was doing his thing.

We're working on it. Dallas has like 3 Ozzy tributes so gonna be hard for us to get in there but we are working on it.

I’m using Pitch Detune for the chorus fx. +9/-9 ala EVH type setting from the 90’s. Think he still used these days too.

I use the same sound for everything. It’s just a general overall hard rock sound. It’s the 5153 100 watt blue amp sim and EVH cab IR’s in stereo. I used 5153 halfstacks before switching to Fractal. I know how they should sound so it makes it easier for me to dial in my tone on the Fractal. If anything I would say the tone is probably similar to Zakk’s No Rest for the Wicked tone.
 
So going from Tubes to AX8 and using FRFR's on stage, was that a big adjustment?

I thought it would be but it really wasn’t. But I run my FRFR’s in the backline behind me like a traditional amp setup. My first show I had it like a wedge in front of me. And it was fine. But the people at the front of the stage in the middle standing in between the mains couldn’t hear my guitar. They were hearing the sounds of the bass and drums on stage so from then on I’ve always run my FRFR’s on the backline so I have some stage volume too.
