Not my vid. I'd say the tones are there and pretty impressive, albeit the SV20 don't hit like a 100 watter. And the OX Box continues to impress me soundwise compared to other IR's setups.

From his YT notes:
I’m using the Marshall SV20 fully cranked, literally all knobs on 10, but the Normal/Loudness 2 which is at zero. I’m fattening the tone with the Echoplex preamp at 12 O’clock. Also using the Sunset Sound Studio Reverb plugin from IK Multimedia, with the Hogarth St1 Egt Chamber preset in the DAW. I then just kick in the Echoplex delay pedal for the solo part. In the Ox, I’m using the 4x12 GB 25 punch cab, with two SM57, one straight and the other off-axis. All mic EQ, room mics, effects are off, it’s a complete dry signal into the DAW.

Gear:EVH Striped series guitar
Marshall SV20 amp
MXR Echoplex preamp EP101
MXR Echoplex delay EP103
Universal Audio Ox
Audient iD14 audio interface
Reaper DAW
IK Multimedia Sunset Studio Reverb plugin
Jim Dunlop Tortex TIII .88 guitar pick

A song like this is a perfect example of Ed’s creativity just being off the charts vs. most guitar players. Sure, there were guys who could out shred him but he played with such an expressive and varied vocabulary.

Absolutely. This song (and many others) could have remained instrumental/no vox and it still would have been an engaging listen. Hell, even EVH isolated guitar clips sound like fully formed compositions. And.....that SV20 setup sounds great.

Sounds awesome. Your playing is top and you got that EVH vibe. Good job. Your video is the proof that it's not the gear but the player that makes it sounds good.
