Jackson headstock design seems to be out of the question from any of the vendors. Must be an IP licensing issue. I've come up with these models and may be possible to rework the first version into a Jackson pointy, but I kind of like it. Let me know what y'all think. Respond to this post with a sad face in the like button section and comment if you want none of these designs (There wasn't room left in the poll to post that option).

Refer to the letters below for the poll. (yes, those are the back of the headstocks on some of the pics, but are available in reverse so just used those images and your imagination for reference) I'm open to suggestions if y'all know of a quality US builder who offers other models, but if enough of y'all are on board with one of these; we will proceed. Poll Closes in two days. You can change your selection up until the last moment.

Mahogany Dinky Body
Maple Neck with modern C/Strat Carve
Ebony Fingerboard
25.5" Scale
24 Stainless Steel Jumbo Frets
Recessed Gotoh GE1996T Vibrato/Trem (Hardware finish poll will come later)

Did a quick mock-up from @NowYou'rePlayingWithPower 's pictures for the two headstocks I'm considering, and figured I'd drop 'em here for others to use too.

I think I'm going with the reverse beak for now. Could defect to reverse strat depending on how things go.

Those headstocks to the left look like bananas.

I want the reverse James Tyler @7704A posted. It's reinvigorated my desire for a super strat.

But since that isn't really gonna be viable I'll vote for E-R. I like a nice upside down strat-jazzmaster headstock.
 
One of the next things to consider will be inlays.
I'm a personal fan of none, but want to get y'all's thoughts.
Was thinking of just a custom 12th fret inlay.
Something clean and not too gaudy.
There's other obvious choices, too like dots or shark teeth.

I am a fan of none also. I ordered my jackson that way, when i got the sharkfins though, i fell in love

It's actually the ONLY guitar I've ever seen where it looks alright. Ths guitar looks metal af - the A-R fasho.

Sounds good but make it abalone.

I'm also in the @Smash camp. Sharkfins look awesome. Abalone sharkfins. Then you could hear the ocean when you put your ear up to the pickup rout. :LOL:
 
Can't decide between A or AR. I think both will look great and I imagine I'd be perfectly fine being bullied one way or the other.
Haven't voted yet.
