Just picked this Charvel Custom up. It looked very inviting in matte black and ready to get serious with...

And, a Tom Anderson Drop Top Pro Am, again in black....

I have to hurry up and start saving for that TA when it hits the classifieds   Joke aside, I think they both look great

Those both look absolutely killer Steve. I myself am gassing pretty hard over one of the Natural Series Charvels...

Only $1,795...

The Charvel Matte Black series I think is an exclusive at Music Zoo. They just got them in. Comes with maple or rosewood fingerboard. I thought it just screamed "treat me bad"

I've been chomping at the bit for a TA, as they are so well thought of. Bounced back and forth with TA and Suhr, and the black Pro Am looked like a good fit. I swore off Floyd guitars last year, but sort of missed them a bit from time to time. Anyway, giving it another shot. With all these 80's modded Marshall's now, got to have some Floyd action along with a couple good Lesters.

Put a 42mm block on it and it makes a big difference! Congrats

TMZ offers them with Ebony boards as well.

Congrats!

Saw that one too. Don't have anything with a maple board on it right now, so thought I would change that.....

I saw those when the Zoo posted about them, pretty cool guitar

What makes the TA a Drop Top? Does it have a bent maple top under the paint?

Very cool pair of fiddles...two of my favorite builders. How do they compare?

Good luck, bro. :D

Not saying I couldn't be sucked back in as well, but I just dumped my last Floyd guitar. Woohoo (for now)

I have seen too many recommendations for the TA's, so figured I would drop down on one. It came from Mesa Hollywood. Didn't want one too purty though and this black Pro Am seemed to be about right. H1 and H3+ PU's. If the Floyd gets in the way, I got a couple of trem-loks to fix them. The Charvel's I know are great to play and have owned several. Thought the matte black was just too cool. The PayPal was swelled up a bit, so I figured why the hell not.

I get it....I love the Andy's, and have one that I ordered in December due sometime soon. No fancy top.

Honestly, that Chavel gave me a little flutter (get it) :D Looks GREAT in the matte black

How is the neck on the music zoo charvels like the natural or matte black series?
Similar to the US production series? I had heard that music zoos exclusives have a much skinner neck front to back.
I love my flat black wildcard, but I don't think I could go any thinner on the neck.
My other guitars are a Santa III and an old Jeff beck strat with the huge neck.

I really like that Charvel Steve. :inlove: Looks awesome! I had a MZ Charvel Mahogony. I think if I wpuld have swapped out the pickups I would have been happy. It resonated really well and the neck played great.

I don't see the ebony board one on TMZ. I see a rosewood.

I've been considering the EVH Stealth, but these Charvels are very cool too, and a lot cheaper. I want an ebony board though.

I'm worried that if I buy the EVH, I'm going to pay more than it's worth, because of the hype. I don't want to pay $2800 and then see them going for $1800 in a couple years.
