Glowing Tubes - Lightning Blue - Electron Clouds

what exactly does it mean when power tubes glow with that lightning blue color that grows more intense the harder and louder you play?

i know its the electron clouds, but does it mean the tubes are going bad? maybe the plates aren't capturing all the power?

can anyone answer this?

i noticed the same blue lighting on one of my SED winged C 6L6's. i'm happy to hear, that this glowing is harmless

Its nothing compared to sodium in liquid NH3. (its free electrons soluted, guys - so there are parallels)
The most amazing blue I have ever seen.

thanks duesen... the section on "blue glow" clarifies it. i just have to watch out for purple/pink color.
