GNR's Fail.

Probably don't need to bother with stormtrooper helmets unless you can play the song with it on, agreed. Yikes.
 
Axl's vocals made me burst out into laughter. It was like watching one of those "shreds" videos, yet they're punking themselves.

Then came the storm trooper, and I just wanted to punch his face in so badly.

Time to retire guys. I can't wait to show this to one of my best buds...the biggest GNR fan I've ever known.
 
3:12 looks like something from spinal tap. :lol: :LOL: Axl sounds very out of breath. I hate that when singers cut off the end of their sentences. :thumbsdown:
 
Sometimes ya just gotta know when to say "I give"....But...better a has been than a never was!!
 
Bumblefoot Tweeted that a fan gave him the Stormtrooper helmet and that he couldn't see the fretboard. You would think that he could probably still 'feel' his way around:)

Just sad to see this. As much as people want the original lineup to get back together, it's just never gonna be the same. Axl's voice is shot and has been since they made that surprise performance on MTV years ago (when Axl came out all chubs sportin corn rows.).
 
Axl looks and sounds like a cracked out neil young.

Indeed. One thing I learned in marketing classes many, many moons ago is "never underestimate the stupidity of the consumer."

Lot's of people bought Pet Rocks. Doesn't make it a good product. But I'm sure the "creator" laugh all the way to the bank anyway. :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL:
 
I saw them last year.. not the same as the original line up. I will say that Axl didn't sound quite as bad as i expected but he was still garbagge. That bumblefoot cat can technically play and he is skilled but doesn't have the feel to do the Slash thing at all. The DJ Ashba guy is the biggest poseur I have seen in years and looks like he should be working the other half of the stage with Criss Angel mindfreak. ARE YOU READY?
 
Haha, lesson learned not to wear a Star Wars mask when playing or he just sucks...
 
Thing is, the next day all most would remember from that guitarists performance was that time in the set when he had on this cool star wars helmet. 99% don't give a rats ass if he plays the notes the same. It's about the show, not the song.

As a musician, yeah the whole thing was pretty bad I agree. However, bad nights, bad songs happen. He probably does a better job most of the time, the helmet really messed him up.
