2nd time this week someone accepts a counter offer and then it just sits. I don't get it. Everytime I buy something I pay right away. Well at least I'm not scared to cancel orders. The 1st one I waited over night before I canceled it but this 2nd one that just happened got canceled after and hour.

Yeah if guys can't pay right away they need to contact the seller, right away.

I had a guy buy something and then said, I should have the money by the end of the month. I think reverb requires payment within 3 days. I cancelled the order and resisted the item.

I relist if not paid in 2 days, same with Ebay. Then if they pay after fine, I cancel the auction and ship.if someone else buys it then whoever pays first gets it.

I don't know how you guys can wait that long. After dealing with this twice now I can't even wait an hour, lol.

End of the month? Fuck that. What a douche!

Relax on the hour. For me I may accept while at work but not be able to pay either because Paypal is block or workplace is doing SSL intercept/inspection and choose note to have my banking details inspected. Also, they may have the app on the phone and while on the road accept but not be able to pay till they get home. The rest of the world thinks that us American and impatient and/or batshit crazy. I think 24 hours is reasonable. Ultimately I default to what Reverbs policy is.

I’m not on reverb.
But any deals I do. I agree with. Money talks bullshit walks.
I will ‘hold’ an item for several days. I mostly welllll honestly just do ‘bro inner circle ‘ deals.

And my inner circle respects me. And back at them ....
Got about 10 dudes in the fold.

If it's the middle of the work day (or overnight) when an auction ends, I understand people might need time to wake up or get home from work to pay. But there's no excuse for going past 24 hours.

I also think 24 to 48h should be enough time to pay for an item that you wanted to purchase in the first place!

I'll wait up to a couple days..shit happens. But anything past that..see ya

I had a guy ask if he could pay in 4 days, I agreed and he paid when he said he would. As long as there's good communication, I don't have a problem waiting a short time.

This is true and maybe so. But I prefer to look at is as we don't have time for Bullshit.

As a buyer I pay immediately unless prior arrangements have been made. As a seller I have never had anyone delay the payments but I suppose I would stay with the policy of whatever third party site I am using.

I think 3 days is fair. People have work, families, etc.

Ed

It's become way worse than it used to be. I have no idea why people do that on Reverb and eBay. I always pay ASAP just because it's kind of weird to hit "buy" and then not pay for a few days. Literally takes 30 seconds to pay... not like they have to mail a check in lol
