That's why I asked John has it installed with the bar FROM the neck.

This is interesting, I didnt' even notice until you guys pointed it it out. in the packaging the Pickup is oriented with the bar on top (facing the neck) and that's just how i installed it. didn't even think to try it the other way. I love it as is though!

Would you compare it to any of the other Dimarzio models?
I've played the ToneZone, Steve's special, Double whammy, Evolution. Could it be described as similar to any of these?

I don't get the fascination with this guy, at least steve vai has a style..petrucci doesn't have any special thing going on to me, he is just another standard shredder...why do people get to excited for him?
P.s I can't stand the vox in his band so I dont really care about him..

I thought 99.99% of guitar players hated Petrucci and everything DT-related. I've not experienced/observed this fascination of which you've spoken.
