I am going to re-wire and solder the inside of my cab.

I know this had been discussed and I apologize.

I did search and found that 14 gauge should be best.

But what about brands?????

I read the Monster XP was really good???

Was just looking for some opinions, cant spend hundreds on this but i would like good quality. A 20ft spool of the Monster wire is only $20.

So you dont think there is any difference between what you use??

Oxygen free copper wire is the way to go. Usually a bigger gauge wire with smaller strands is the best bet. This strands of good wire twisted to a larger gauge is how boutique wire companies have reduced capacitance to give you your tone up front. I would imagine the same thing would give you similar results and help get the most out of your speaker production. I've been using this stuff I got around the corner at Best Buy that is $20 a roll. It's given me the best results so far.

That Monster Cable "time correcting" wire is just snake oil in my opinion. Don't pay for their crap. Just get regular oxygen free copper wire from some off brand and call it a day. The more strands spun into your wire the better, but people on here swear by lamp chord, so I would say anything will work.

I go to a local car audio place and buy a couple feet of their bulk cable.

I used the Monster XP you speak of on my 4 X 12. It was on sale for under $15 at Best Buy when I bought it. I noticed a difference from the previous wiring, but the previous wiring was a mess so take it for what it's worth.

I still have enough left over to do my 2 X 12 and my 2 X 10 combo. Might as well. I wouldn't pay crazy amounts of money on some 'special' wire, but that's just me. It may make a difference or not. I'm happy with the results I got with the XP and the amount of money I paid.

I've done every cab I have with Monster XP and there is a NOTICABLE difference (better). Like someone took a blanket off the front. Much more punch and clarity. I'm sure the other recommendations are sound as well. I bought a 50-foot spool of Monster XP and it did all 14 of my 4x12's plus my friend's three Mesa 4x12's, my four 2x12s, and my 1x12, and I still have a little left. It goes far if you keep the cable lengths reasonable.

Yes i saw this post and thats what got me so interested.

I have to solder because the connections keep coming undone, so i figured might as well get it the best i can.

Thanks everyone

Did I say that?

I guess I needed to be more specific?

Any OFC or oxygen free copper should suit you just fine is what you said.

So, I should have said So you dont think there is any difference between what brand you use??
