Going to the Dentist

I had to go to the Dentist. Sat down in the chair and looked up and it was a different person than usual. Clean shaven - no moustache, late middle aged... Looked a bit familiar... Anyway, he introduced himself and the penny dropped... "I'm George Harrison" said the Dentist! I said, "wow I didn't know you went into dentistry and live in Australia now!"

Anyway at that point I woke up. I still remember that dream this morning...

Weird dream huh.

They gave me the goofy gas once and they had background music playing. I kept thinking it was jethro Tull’s aqualung….kept waiting for the breakdown part where they started rocking a little bit…it never came…it was hell…afterwards the dentist told I kept air drumming and headbanging to something for a second…then I would stop and just sigh…

I have a dental appointment in a couple weeks. I think I'm gonna need a crown. I'm thinking of going gold on the crown cause it's the most durable and long lasting material and I can only afford one trip.

Jethro Tull was the band I saw on my only visit to Cobo Hall in Detroit, awesome venue.
Strange dream under gas; open heart surgery and I was in a huge warehouse full of insulation parts and dust floating everywhere and could barely breathe, I’m sure an effect of the breathing apparatus. But the music…ZZ Top. Didn’t talk to the surgeon until a couple weeks later and asked him if he listened to music while operating? “No, why?” And I explained, he just shook his head no…it was all in my head.

I had a dental catastrophe a couple years ago. 4 molars pulled and only 2 molars installed, she quoted $1,500 per tooth but failed to mention an oral surgeon was involved and his bill. Final bill was over $12,000. Yikes.

I don't have money for anything beyond a a root canal and crown so this is pretty much Christimas right there. I have had pretty good dental health but lived in the dark without running water for a couple years and it cost me a back molar. It was a tight fitting molar that was harder to keep clean so not really surprising. This tooth is the same deal, a tight fit, so hopefully it's the only trouble zone and I can get it knocked out and be done with it.
