Are you referring to the V he made for some customer, and then the customer decided to have ken give it to hetfield as a gift? At least thats what Ken posted on Facebook

Yeah, I believe that is the only one. I may be mistaken though.

Yeah, I believe that is the only one. I may be mistaken though.

It's the only one that i'm aware of but then i've only spoken to ken once. I did see one on Ebay once but pretty sure it was just a luthier copying ken's style.

Here's a pic of the one that was given to Hetfield along with the story from Ken's facebook page:

"I was originally building this guitar for another client and near the end, I asked if I could show it to James. The client came back and asked me to show it to him and then GIVE it to him as an "anonymous gift from his worldwide fans". I was blown away! The look on James' face when I got to that part was priceless!!
I promised never to reveal the client's name so please don't speculate or dig for it. It was an amazing thing to do so please just appreciate it for that. I mean, who of us wouldn't want to be able to do that for one of our heroes??!!"

Yeah, there's a copy cat on ebay. "Black" something guitars. He was calling them KL Explorers and Ken was trying to get the guy to quit doing that. Not sure if he was successful or not. There's always a douche trying to feed on someone else work.

Ken made another v other than the one made for hetfield. I have a pic in my computer.
