I know it has been discussed before, but all I could find was good reccomendations for metal pickups. ANyone have any reccommendations for a do it all type of pickup for the bridge that can excel in rock and have a good clean? Woulnd't mind if it could dabble in metal a little too.

never was a fan of this pickup until i put it on a mahogany guitar, but i highly recommend the seymour duncan JB. if you want a weaker brother the custom custom uses an alnico II magnet instead of an alnico V.

Def some very cool suggestions so far. I actually have a JB hand wound by Marciela Juarez in another guitar I dont use I can throw in. Maybe someone will trade a coldsweat for my warpig so I can try out both

I love my MCP hellbaby in my mahogany ninja...so much that Im getting a custom mahogany guitar to put another hellbaby in.

Any of the Duncan Custom/CustomCustom/Custom5 or Gibson Burstbucker Pro or '57 Classic Plus.

I could be incorrect, but I thought the Custom Custom uses a different wind than the JB.

Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat
Motor City Angel Dust

Very bright pickups, sound similar.

duncan screamin demon. love that filthy lil bastard!
I've never had good luck with that pickup in mahogany/dark sounding guitars...always came off as slightly muddy and undefined. Makes sense when you consider it was designed for Lynch's preference of maple bodied guitars...almost the polar opposite of mahogany.

MC Angel Dust for a more vintage flair, MC Afwayu for a more modern flair. Both sounded great in my LP.
