Got a New Power Amp! Fryette Content...

Scored this off a friend from another forum. Got it with an unused rack mount kit for $550 shipped. All in all saved about $100 for what is effectively brand new. Mainly using this for my Kemper. I had the ISP Stealth and this unit kills it in every way as far as "feel" goes.

And I LOVE that Fryette (IMHO) thought of everything! The rubber feet sit perfectly on the bottom of the road case relieving stress on the rack mount kit. I thought that was very cool.





Can't wait to get this guy home and fired up. I was fortunate enough to have another friend on said forum that allowed me to use his Power Station for about a month! I posted some vids a while back showing my Splawn profiles and some Friedman ones as well.

Very nice !! I had about 12 years ago, the 2/90/2 power amp with the GP3 preamp.. Didnt gel with it back then, I'm sure had it been now, I would appreciate it much more !

I have previously owned a Deliverance 120 and Sig: X. One thing for sure is that Steve Fryette knows his way around a power section. There are few amps that have as much authority IMHO. For everything the Power Station offers (effects loop, load box AND tube power amp) it is a steal even at brand new pricing.

I told you the Power Station would kill the ISP (maybe that was over at TGP). Until I take the Kemper plunge, I'm using my Power Station with my ancient GSP1101 for my mini/portable rig and I think it sounds good.

Well you were right!!! Have you had any issues with heat/performance having yours racked? Looks like there should be enough space in my 2-space to let ventilate.

I had a killer Cameron Aldrich that had no loop. Grabbed a Bad Cat Unleash and although it wasn't bad, it killed a bit of the tone because it was solid state power. Fryette has the right idea with tube re-amping.

That would have been cool but on their site they have this listed under their "Studio" gear. I am guessing they thought the form factor might be a benefit to home recording enthusiast seeing as silent/quiet recording is such a big trend now. The LXII they are releasing will be a single rack space tube power amp geared for modelers.
