got a xotic bb pre coming, what to expect?

Quite nice. If you keep the "gain" low, I think it works better. High gain, kinda sounds "tube screamer-y" in the mids. For me in the studio, it works great for just a little more gain.... just a touch... and for making musical feedback and harmonics 'pop'.

yeah, i saw the timmons video with his mesa rig, and thought it sounded really nice.

smooth, but articulate, and still expressive.

I have a BB+ and absolutely love it as a boost. Also use it as an alternate lead tone by boosting it with another od, and going through amp's clean channel.

It sounds especially great with an OCD, both with low to mid gain and level settings.

Use it on CH A of the VX module and you will cry it's so sweet!

I use it a lot with my CAA OD100 Classic Plus. I can dial in the BB to get fairly close to the amp. The pedal just lacks some of the depth that a typical tube amp has. It's a great pedal!

Plus me too... I love the pedal until you get the gain up past half way, the it compresses too much for me.

Set with gain low it responds clear and fast and doesn't congest like a tube screamer

I combine mine with a Tubescreamer with my Fender Deluxe Reverb and it sound fantastic. Best pedal ive bought in a long time.
