Got Carl Roa's DVD today...

Man....that fuckin Fortin Bones smokes all. Pretty good instuctional....soen't let you really try along with stuff, but gives you lessons to incorporate your own stuff. Rules and what not. Worth the $18 for sure.

Ya... Once more people find out what Mike "Fortin" is doing, I'm sure he will NOT be able to keep up with the demand. Get a Fortin now - , while he still can keep up with his long list of orders!!

The guy's an amp wizard... as well as a phenomenal guitarist.

I guess that's what makes his amps killer- He's a player!
He "knows" what we want!

There was actually an ad in the last Guitar World (Slayer on the cover) for the DVD, which I thought was pretty cool! Been toying with the idea of getting it, but just haven't had much time to do anything thanks to work lately. Good on ya Carl

Carl Roa is an awesome guy and I think his DVD kills. Carl let me preview it and what I really dig about it is that you can actually learn something. What I mean is that most instructional DVD's either become a lick library or a showcase for a player to showoff there ability. That can be cool and all but they most of the dvd's don't usually go into detail on how to use those licks. Carl gives you a pretty solid foundation on how he approaches his stuff which in turn lets you learn a great deal IMHO. In other words it's useable information where you can incorperate it into your own style instead of copying someone elses licks.

On another note, I don't think people really know how good of a guitarist Mike really is. He is one modest dude not only with his amp building ability but with his guitar playing. He is definitely one of the best players Ive heard in a long time and I absolutely love his CD. No need for me to rave about his amps anymore because I'm pretty sure people are sick of hearing me rave about them

I was watching my cable's on demand channel the other night...sifting through the music section...concerts, etc...and I come across a demo of a digitech RP something or other...and I notice a Fortin amp...then the guy says "Hi, I'm Carl Roa..."...kinda caught me by surprise for a second.

Sorry I have not been around as of late, life has been booting me about the room ... can't keep up with this insane schedule! I would need an army of Elves to keep pace. LOL. In other news, I have been doing some things for Guitar World as some of you have noted. Did film a product demo for Digitech's RP1000. And I used the Fortin Bones as well ... which was awesome. The Guitar World guys were very impressed with the amp ... I am actually filming another product demo tomorrow at Guitar World for the Digitech Timebender (cool pedal) ... just trying to get my presentation together before the clock strikes midnight and I turn back into a pumkin.

I know some of my videos are being featured on the national Comcast On Demand Guitar show, but I do not much info on scheduling. Happy to know they are airing. We don't get Comcast on Long Island ... so I haven't been able to check anything out myself. There will be a series of videos being shown nationally, and some of them with the Fortin amp too. And most with my new Suhr Modern!

Hahaha... I'm no body builder or anything, but I lift weights three times a week and I'm definitely not scrawny! I just prefer a more fitted t-shirt, so I wear a medium!
