Got my Bias email

Glad you guys like it - I'm less than thrilled

1. its $80 more than the iphone/pad version.

2. no jamup even with the $199 full version

3. No standalone operation (seriously )

4. the "amp matching" is just a selling gimick for people
too lazy to learn how to eq properly

Without jampup included, I'm going to hold off for awhile...the price is too high IMO when there are other options offering a lot more...

Toontrack metal month is coming up too, I am really looking forward to what they have coming up. Hopefully there's stuff for superior drummer and not just EZD crap again.

Were any of you guys able to save to the Tonecloud?
1.08 is out, still can't see the "save to tonecloud"-button.

1.09 update is out and finally you can upload to Tonecloud.

I submitted the "Hoss Tweed Bassman", this should also show up on the iOS App.

Great share! We have more updates coming!

After messing with Bias for ios I am pretty underwhelmed at the moment, especially with the "insane" amp pack. I'm not sure how much work was actually put into that pack or if it was just like "this metal thing is pretty popular, let's toss out an expansion". I have sat with those amps and tried everything to get a usable tone and it's tough.

One thing that needs to happen is MORE CABS or at least the ability to use your own IRs in ios. I managed to run my own IRs in desktop by bypassing the cab and then adding a cab sim to the FX chain in the track and it worked out pretty good. But that's less than conventional really. Bias should have the option to use IRs straight from the Bias program rather than adding your own cab sim.

Another thing I am having trouble with is the gain on bias, I am having to add gain to everything to make it usable for metal or hard rock with either my iRig / studio connect or via importing to Jamup and adding a boost pedal to the chain.

Overall at this point I have more confidence in my LePou freeware plugins combined with ownhammer IRs than I do with bias and jamup. I am recording a Dio cover right now using jamup, bias and some new drum software I grabbed I will post it on here shortly. As of now I am finding that I am having to do a lot more producing of the tones that I am getting than I would with my freeware signal chains but the tones are "ok"

timeroo, I agree with the more cabs/own IR issue.

I talked to a friend who has the iOS version and he could not use my Tonecloud setting, because
"This preset contains unsupported modules and may sound different from the original design"

I wonder if ios users will have access to the tone matching that positive grid is doing in house and making available soon. If not, that would be bullshit.

Thanks for the feedback guys, we are working on implementing new features in future updates!

Missed this sorry, currently, the presets from BIAS desktop aren't usable in BIAS iOS, sorry about that.
