Got My Modded Splawn Nitro from FJA mods!

My Splawn Nitro arrived today. Jerry did the Nick mod and it sounds incredible! The resonance knob was useless before and now it works the way it's supposed to work! Jerry fixed the midrange and the distortion is much smoother! I wish Splawn would make their amps sound like this! When I first go it, I was very dissapointed! I sent them 2 emails and they never responded so I thought f... them! So I sent it to Jerry to make it sound like a tone monster! I'll be doing clips and post it to share it with RT people!

Not that I think you bs'ing but I have never had a call or question go unanswered by the Splawn crew. Still and all I'm sure the amp sounds balls. What is the nick mod?

Not that I think you bs'ing but I have never had a call or question go unanswered by the Splawn crew. Still and all I'm sure the amp sounds balls. What is the nick mod?

Not hating on Splawn, but based on my experience with Scott and e-mails, I'd advise anyone interested in contact with the company to call the shop instead. I've had to send the same e-mail up to four times over a multi-week period to get a response and I had identified myself as an owner of new product. They're good folks...just not good with online communication.

They're coming! I got really busy at my studio and haven't had a chance to go on RT for awhile! Tomorrow I'm getting together with Jim Seavall from Scumback speakers and Jim Wagner from WCR at my studio to do some clips for a buch of his speakers and WCR pickups. Both of the are great guys and it'sgoing to be a lot of fun! I finally get to check out the WCR pickups, I heard great things about them!

It's a Metal Mod. I might have been one of the unlucky guys who got a bad sounding Splawn. I tried everything, but it just sounded like crap. I heard a couple of Splawns that Jerry modded and I liked what I heard. I got a chance to test the amp some more and I'm really blown away!

I bought it last year so it's a 2012. I was trying preamp tubes and when I took one out teh tube socket came out form one side! That never happened to me before! I called Mr Splawn and he told me to just put a washer in to fix it! I was thinking how about using better parts, not chip ones?LOL!
