Power-up, 60 seconds, turn the standby to hi-power, lots of rumble and thunder for about 20-30 seconds, and then it settles down to quiet. If I switch to low-power, even after warm up in hi-power, I get the rumble. comments?

1) Does it do it with the main master all the way off?
2) If so: Power tube or PI tube (the 12aX7 next to the power tubes).
3) If not: Set the main master to your normal setting where it makes the noise. Module masters on '0'. Does it do it now?
4) If so,the effects loop tube (last 12AX7 on the right in the back row).
5) If not: Module 1 on. Main master to normal setting as in #2 above. Module 1 master up, gain off.
6) If no, repeat #5 above using module 2. Just try to switch to immediately after turn on before the noise stops. Yes or no?

Analysis:
If you can hear it on both modules in 5 & 6 above, the input tube is likely. This is the 12AX7 in the chassis (not modules) located in the front, right corner closest to the input jack. If you only hear it on one module in 5 & 6, then one of the tubes in that module is bad.
