Hey, just curious what your setup was for your gig? Did you run the pedal into a clean amp or dirty amp as a boost?

Seeing "Friedman" on something usually translates into dollar signs and zeroes in my mind. But $200 for this box of rocket sauce is a serious bang for the buck. If my tastes change, that's not so much money that I'm gonna worry about putting this in storage for a while and pulling it back out later.

I have a '79 JMP 2204 and the pedal works great with it too. But you will need to run the amp very clean or the pedal gain near zero, unless you're playing Cookie Monster metal. This is not the kind of pedal I'd use to just add a little edge to your gain channel or as a boost. I suppose you could make it work that way, but you'd have to turn the internal trim pot way down and do a lot dialing in.

I can get this pedal for $200, i already have a tube amp that has a real good clean
and from what i heard this pedal has all the gain/tone of those mini heads.

I agree not my taste for a metal tone either.Bankrupted A Casino":17mosbh6 said:charvelstrat81":17mosbh6 said:Really am becoming convinced that this pedal is a better/cheaper option for me than the Runt 20,PT 20 or DS mini head for a practice amp.

That tone he had dialed in there is way too fizzy and flubby for metal. Hopefully someone will do a proper metal demo soon.

It`s actually working great as boost and to add a little edge for a few people here . Took me all of a few minutes to dial it in . Check out Crunchitys boost clip in this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=181684
He`s got the trim pot at noon and gain all the way off . At the moment I`ve got the trim pot all the way off and I`m adding just a touch from the gain pot . I thought it would be overkill even at those settings but it`s actually somewhat tame. Dialing it in really is a piece of cake if your used to using OD/Distortion pedals

No offense meant to anyone here but......That was basically a clean tone.
Everyone seems to be steering clear of putting out a demo of this pedal in an actual/traditional Overdrive setting. You know like running a high gain amp balls to the wall and throwing an OD in front to add some edge/tighten things up.
From what I have heard this is an amazing pedal. But it seems to be an amazing distortion pedal. I guess the term OD is subjective but when I see an OD I think 808. I still have yet to see a demo for this application and reserve judgement until then.
