Got to try a bunch of gear, why didn't I like the SLO?

Of all the amps I've been through, my top 5: 2C+, SLO, Wiz MTL, boosted Jubilee and any Cameron Marshall. The first 3 have a special clarity and feel that are a notch above anything else, no surprise many others feel the same. You have to feel them at volume in person to really get it. IMO.

Like I said after going back, swapping the cab made a HUGE improvement. The speakers seemed to fit better even though the cab itself could be better.

The only thing I could do next time would be to go there early in the day and ask him if I can just blast it loud without the attenuation. I'd love to have him bring it to a band practice so I can use my cab and get it going loud but I won't ask him that.

Again, the definition and clarity on the amp was amazing and it sounded great but for what I play it just did not have enough juice. I don't typically max out gain either.

For example on my Rev 2 Uberschall my gain is right at noon, sometimes as low as 11:00 but I use a Suhr koko boost. Once I started to get the gain on the SLO where I needed it the saturation took over and started to sound bad.

I am guessing if I used MY boost and my cab with tons of volume I would really dig the amp. Maybe some day I will get to try that out.

A Jeff Beck Strat straight in. TC HOF and Flashback in loop. I've since got a 1X12 for it as well. I love this amp

I got a pre-wired Duncan pickguard. Got a JB Jr, and 2 lil 59's. I got enough Strats to where I can make the Beck Strat a bit higher output
