I like the 57/66 set as well but damn are they hard to find used at a reasonable price in the flat black finish.

I also really like the fishmans too but you’re kinda priced into buying the rechargeable pack setup otherwise you’ll be swapping batteries too frequently

Yeah, I'm only finding full sets. I'll wait to see how the 81's sound. Should be here tomorrow.

Is it safe to assume this has quick connects?

Most likely. I had an older ESP than yours, and the EMGs were quickies. From what I understand, you can pop in a Fishman without changing anything, but you won't get the full versatility from it.

Yeah, you can plug in EMG or Fishman with the main connector. You just wont get the extra voices and such.

I put a set of Moderns in a PRS I have, and kept considering plugging in an 81 and 85 I have laying around. However, I tuned it down to C#, and the Fishman's came alive vs. E, so I kept them last time I changed strings. I have had the same battery for like a year and a half now, so I think the battery life is overstated on the internet. However, I do switch between different guitars, so I don't play that particular guitar all the time.

I just picked this one up. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed in the neck! It's huge. The description said thin u. I have owned tons of ESP ( Not EII'S) and loved the neck profile. This one feels similar to a LP 50's neck maybe slightly slimmer. I will curious to see how the neck is on the one you're getting. I dig everything thing else about the guitar. Certainly is quality. But I don't know if I can get with this neck.

The MII’s I’ve played (ESP standard series) had thicker necks than I was expecting as well is it possible that the thin u designation is just shape and not thickness?
