Since the initial Chiron run ..... you guys ( maybe gals to .. who knows ) have kept me fairly busy .

I get a lot of inquiries about doing custom graphics ..... whether it's on a clone or one of my builds .

So some info on what I do and what I can do would probably help answer some questions I get asked a lot .

No ..... I don't have a website ( there are chosen reasons for this .... most have to do with time )

I have access to over 400 circuits / PCB's ( I use a few different companies clone boards when I'm doing one offs )
out of the 400 or so boards I can get ..... a little over 300 are boosts and ODs, Fuzzes and distortions

depending on quantity of parts the cost of a standard build will run 115 - 125 shipped . ( it costs me 15.00 to get a pedal anywhere into the Cont. US using UPS Ground )

Bigger builds like say the Chiron will be 150.00

For custom graphics ..... I am pretty much charging a 35 dollar fee .... that's me putting 2-3 hours in on Adobe Illustrator to design the template for the UV Printer

Most of the time I just need some basic info .... like if you have a name you want to use ... Font you want to use .. color of enclosure .... knobs ... etc . Theme ...
Once I have that it doesn't take me long to whip something cool up on Illustrator ....

for this kind of build I require half down .... half upon completion ....

I ship within 3-4 weeks of you Ok-ing the final draft of the pedal ( takes 2-3 weeks to get the enclosure in )

I do not do digital ( hence the name : Griffin Analog )

I'm always just an IM away on here ..... ( I leave the Forum up while I'm at my Full time gig during the week ) I answer IM's pretty quickly

Hope this answers some basic stuff regarding getting a Custom Pedal built

Can anyone here who has compared the super-drive to the stock sd-1 please elaborate a bit on the sonic/output differences.
I have the black 40th sd-1, and while I like it's eq and response I always end-up wanting for more output push. Like I wish the level went to 12 or 13.

Hey Wayne,

Is there a sticky you can leave up somewhere that list your staple builds and what they are?

Also, is there a limit as to what you will customize? For example, " I want a dod 250 clone with bass -normal - tight switch to tailor the low end..but i also want an on board clean boost "

I personally wish there were more OD's that had a built in clean boost KOT style. Space and power saver on pedal board. Turns a 2204 into a 3 channel amp.

I'm going to put a thread in the classifieds .... and I will continually bump it

doing a custom circuit is a lot different than me coming up with custom graphics ....

finding a existing board that fits your needs is much better ..........

you mean like a King of Tone ???

I have been toying the idea of putting a 808 and a klon in the same pedal

I mean in general..custom pedals that are two circuits in one with some flexibility for tone shaping ( tight switch). I find personally i run too many OD's in line because I don't have one that does it all. Right now I run a koko boost, Cusack screamer, klon clone, and a Guv'nor. I like the koko clean boost to give any of the others a lead boost.

Either way, combining circuits in a pedal is an amazing idea. Choices are great. Your TS and klon would probably replace my Cusak and Klon clone for example.

Unfortunately anything new I come up with ..... doesn't happen in a couple of weeks .... R & D takes time ...... breadboarding ... testing ... prototyping ... I'm a one man show and my pedals are built by me ... not a manufacturer . For me to dedicate time to a new project I have to for sure know I can sell more than 50 of them .
We'll see what kind of spare time I have in the upcoming months ... maybe I can marry the Chiron with the 808 Screamer .... that's my favorite stacked combo into my 2204 .... the Klon is a great circuit to stack in front of due to the way it blends it's dry signal ( or whatever is in front of it ) with it's own separate clipped signal .
you're also looking at a 200 dollar Over Drive pedal too ...

200 is not that unreasonable given the quality of your circuits...and an 808 pushing a klon is a great idea. The 808 keeps the boost tight so you don't get overbloat. I like my lead tones to be defined enough on the neck pickup.

I agree with you! I'm sure there's plenty of people here willing to spend that.

Im open to other stacking suggestions ..... I know a treble booster in front of certain fuzzes can be really cool

Hey Wayne, do you build anything like the GupTech PdeQ or Amptweaker Depth Finder?

I’ve been thinking my Badlander could really use a “depth” knob and these pedals seem to deliver the goods without having to mod an amp.

I've never heard of either one of these .... I can check them out tomorrow at some point . I've considered doing a parametric EQ ... not sure if that's what those resemble or not .
