That's about the consensus worst use scenario for a Treble Booster imaginable. Normally you're looking at warm and thick mid forward amps like cranked Plexis, Ampeg NMV amps like the V4/VT22, Laney's, Oranges/Matamps, Hiwatts, and the like where Treble Boosters really shine. It trims the mud, and brings back the cut and sparkle while upping the aggression. Or run on the Iommi setting gives up a fat coarse as gravel glassy crunchy pseudo fuzz with singing sustain.
I use a Keeley Java into either a Hiwatt Custom 100, a Matamp GT150, or an Ampeg VT22 head. I could definitely see them working with some of the Tweed and Brown Fenders, and maybe a BF Bassman.
That said fuckit, it's about what works for you. It could sound badass in the right context.
