I think 99% of the guys in here are getting their " gain " from their amps ....

Distortion pedals probably won't sell as well in here as say a Fender forum .....

I need both of those also so put me down for one of each. I always here people saying the mxr gates suck. I've only used an ISP and whatever's in my multi effects units....

people like boosts and overdrives ....... they are the most sold pedals across the board ... hands down

any distortions I have done have been primarily one offs ...

I have a couple of new boosts that should be ready in a few weeks ..... doing my take on the SoloDallas Storm ( Angus's wireless boost )

plus a version of the old T.C. Electronics Integrated Pre .

and I will be continuing to run the Superdrive ..... but it will have a upgraded look ... Chrome enclosure with copper knobs ... purple LED footswitch

I was saying to a friend that a pedal that approximates the sound of the boost on my amp that is a tone stack lift would be cool, though I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. Obviously for use with other amps. It’s a very uncompressed and immediate raw sound that is awesome for solos.
