Guess I'll miss TGP

TGP is a strange place. Interesting points in this thread.

A few that stood out to me are:

I forgot that TGP use to be a JEEZUS site. Again, no offense. If Jesus is your thing, fine. Doesn't work for me. So for so good with this place. Haven't pissed anybody off yet, LOL.

I didn't know that - I though it grew out of the old PRS Forum that was big in the mid to late 1990s and that PRS (the company) asked the forum moderators to close the forum (the original PRS forum that Scherzer and Peterson moderated) because the company did not want that association. Ironically, at one time a moderator at the official PRS Forum (the one linked from the company's webpage) uses the id "jmintzer" which happens to be the id a moderator (perhaps former moderator) at The Gear Page.

I'm neither liberal or conservative. I'm a human on Earth. I do not fuck with people, mentally or physically and that's about it. I CAN NOT stand people that thing they have power over others, especially douche bag asshole power hungry forum moderators.

There does seem to be some type of strange desire by the moderators at TGP to control discussions about gear on all websites. For example, I found this thread through a Google search: http://www.harmonycentral.com/forum/for ... 471-/page2

Apparently, a mod at TGP wanted to give users' ip addresses to a mod at Harmony Central so he could ban those folks from using HC as well. Strange.

Personally, I prefer handling things bare-handed, but I can wield any weapon with skill whether it's a firearm or staff. I don't necessarily "love" or particularly have a passion for them, but they are fun and I wouldn't trade my weapons skills for anything.

Dude, numchucks too?!

Any vids?

You can quote Merriam-Webster or any other dictionary you like, but I quoted you from the authoritative source (the DSM [Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). I doubt that Merriam-Webster is an authority on mental disorders. The fact is that a phobia is an "irrational" fear or intense aversion, and to qualify as a phobia, should meet the conditions which I quoted you before. Try to grasp the concept that an aversion doesn't automatically constitute a phobia. You insist on taking the term "aversion" to an extreme and over-expanding the term "phobia" in order to fit your idea of what homophobia is (typical liberal tactic). It's not even your individual idea of the term because it's the same doctrine the liberals have been pushing for many, many years.

Hahah - the DSM?? That's for actual specific phobias, i.e., particular instantiations of anxiety disorder. Homophobia is a term encompassing negative views toward homosexual behavior, not an actual mental disorder! lol If you have to write pages of arguments trying to explain the subtle nuances of why you're not a homophobe, you're probably a homophobe!

Did you get new shoes ? They look fantastic....
Thanks man.....the knee high stilletos were killing my feet. Flats are more my thing.

This time of year with the sidewalks being slippery..... It's just common sense. Finding the right shoes can be so frustrating. I get in a tissy just thinking about it. It's so frustrating trying to be fashionable and comfortable. I hate having cold feet...

Wow! Seems wherever I go I create a shitstorm.

I'm guitarspaz on TGP. Found them when I used to lurk on Harmony Central as it got worse and worse and then finally imploded with the "upgrade". When I found TGP I thought, great, place is well moderated and much less adolescent banter. Until I posted a few times. Then I either got accused of trolling for saying stuff like Gibson QC isn't very good and stuff like that, or more often I'd post on an active discussion and.....nothing. No more posts. Like a cocktail party where someone farts and everybody casually slips off.

Sold something to a guy locally and he turned me on to Rig Talk. Can't remember his name. Based on my experience at TGP I decided to go with threadkiller.

Anyway, I find TGP useful for info and a large active classifieds. This experience has confirmed my inclination to never post there or if I do to keep it directly on point with gear or music topics.

Never got the ban over there though I was expecting at least a warning. Someone, I guess one of the mods deleted my response post to the guy who accused me of using a racial slur but someone has quoted it in their reply and you can still read it last I checked.

Worrying about what the mods do is a complete waste of time. If someone is actually upset about any of this stuff I would recommend avoid forums all together. Because it is bound to happen sooner or later. It's just the internet..... I would hope you have more important things to do in your life.

This thread is a typical example of how ridiculous it gets. Most of the post are completely off topic and nothing but drama.
