Just playing with some ideas and wondered if any of you have found any disadvantages to setting up a cab tent in a more compact space.Obviously it won't be silent like an iso cab/chamber. What I would like to do is combat boxiness and allow some air/sound to escape . The room itself is treated and i plan to use a 2x12 sitting vertically surrounded by 2 inch thick DIY rigid fiberglass panels. (48 " height each) I will be placing one on top and then a few moving blankets draped over the whole thing. Plan to mic with a 57 and 906. The goal is to reamp when I have a chance and cut down on some of the volume. I figure not using a 4x12 is already a step in the right direction. Was hoping the following setup will cut down on some db's and allow me to open up the amps. This is small enough that it can be setup quickly and left in place over longer periods of time. Either going to mic a 65 watt legacy or a lynchback if I decide to pick one up. Anyone else doing this with success?
