Anyone have any luck with them applying their coupons to friedman gear??

Friedman stuff is excluded, I think. You can try calling them to see if they'll do it over the phone, or you can see if the Musicians Friend coupon works with the Friedman stuff.

From what I understand they cant discount Friedman at all. When I bought my be 100 last year my local guitar center got in trouble for giving me a discount. I had let anything ther retailer know about the discount and he in turn had valled Friedman to inform them of it. I got a call a few days later from GC asking about it and who I told about the discount and then they explained they are nit to give discounts to Friedman

Sweetwater gave me a great discount on my BE100. All i did was ask for it.

It's not GC / MF, it's Friedman. They have a very strict no discount policy that they apply to all their dealers.

Sweetwater won't even allow their reps to discount the demo models anymore (this was a recent change).

Everything is excluded, except Fender (Squier) Strats $199

well musicians friend has 1 open box friedman JJ-100 in white for 2,789 dollars (over 900$ off) and a 4x12 in white for 863, 340$ off also open box. I just bought a jj-100 otherwise I would have bought it. So it seems they can discount when they need to.

Open box, which is not considered a new product

Musician's Friend customer service gave me the standard 8% off on two separate Friedman orders but it was over a year ago.

Not true. I emailed my rep at Sweetwater and asked if they could budge on the price at all. He came right back with an amazing discount. So i bought it. Not a demo unit. Brand new.
