Guitar Center knowingly selling damaged goods.

Who cares. GC has a RETURN POLICY. Anyone who buys from them is covered. If the gear is fucked up, return it. Simple as that. Try to return something on Ebay or Reverb and be prepared for a long drawn out headache.

Wow, guys. What's it like to be executives at Guitar Center? Do they pay well? Because I've heard they really don't.

Or is there another reason you guys came into this thread about a guy who noticed something going on at Guitar Center that's clearly illegal just so you could tell him to go fuck himself?

Both of you are trash.
LOL..
Your mother called, she has some milk and cookies for you..
Check your phone for further instruction on how to live life..

Nice gaslighting. But my reading comprehension is fine, and I haven't been drinking. Let's clarify the situation:

A guy bought an amp from Guitar Center that didn't work, so he took it back, then noticed that Guitar Center is trying to sell it again, passing it off as a good product while knowing it is broken. That is illegal.

Then, "midnightlaundry" and you came in here and berated him out of nowhere for reporting a crime, and it is a crime, to people in this community so they can understand more about the business practices of a company they're likely to deal with in the future.

That's what happened. End of story. And I called you trash for acting that way.

But if you want to talk more about your latest post, how about this... it doesn't matter that Guitar Center is "a struggling business" and you can fuck off with that "poor helpless company who is just knowingly breaking the law in a way that harms its customers to feed its family" nonsense. Please. Aside from that, you're suggesting that the OP can no longer verify that the amp is still broken because he doesn't have it in his house anymore? Are you actually suggesting that the OP has no argument because he doesn't have the amp anymore so he can't prove that Guitar Center hasn't "repaired" that used amp between then and now? Are you fucking serious? How stupid do you think we are?

And your last comment... that if people notice something like this they should just, what, frown and walk away sulking to themselves instead of saying something to a readily-available community that's right there, to at least help somebody else avoid a problem? If Reverb or Guitar Center or Sweetwater screwed me over personally or did something blatantly illegal that involved me, you can bet I'd be here and on every other relevant guitar forum to talk about it. Personally, I'm glad this thread is here. I buy used gear and want to know what companies to avoid. So... your "advice" in this area is pretty awful too.

So to sum things up again, you're still trash. Good luck with your vibrant career at Guitar Center.
NO, dumb dumb.. I was upfront in the first post. The reply was more than condescending so I dealt a dose of reality..
Sorry the world isn't Nurf'ed for your feelings..

There’s a whole lot of butthurt over a post that guitar center used is shady. No shit, they’ve never had descriptions on half of what they post.

I agree with the @midnightlaundry and replied accordingly with a booster shot of real world. I enjoy shopping guitar center used for broken forgotten fucked up trash that others complain about because I get good deals on garbage I can expect to repair. It’s not a platform for everyone but a business model that works for a select few which is fitting for a failing/struggling chain.

Buy your used items and have them shipped to a local GC to accept in person or deny the shipment immediately for a full refund. Or don’t shop there at all. This doesn’t even need to be at two pages.

Get over yourself @TheGreatGreen. I’m not even wasting my time reading your pathetic excuse of backpedaling.

Nice comeback.

I believe you about not reading my post though, because there's no backpedaling in it.
But don't worry, you don't have to read it. Other people will.

That’s what return policies are for. I also inspect used items in store before accepting them in person, I never accept used items from GC shipped directly to my house.

Regarding your childish response, If you can’t handle the truth that would be your own problem, not ours. What have you contributed to the community? How many people have you met in person from the forum? Members here are far from keyboard warrior territory and house a lot of talent in both playing and amplifier modification. I suggest if you want to make a stay here, you reconsider your outlook of others.

Sorry for the late response.. was locked up in my parents basement.

So, you're "that guy"? The one that looks down on the newb because he doesn't have a post count that you deem worthy of merit? I bet you sit there and just fret over how many likes your're getting on facebook too, don't you? Did it ever occur to you that I was trying to contribute to this community by posting about a company that's selling known damaged gear to those same beloved forumites that "you've met in person" (supposedly)? Probably not, because you're too busy worrying about being a dick on the internet because you believe that it somehow makes you cooler in the eyes of others. Does that pretty much confirm my outlook of you?

I didn't come into this forum guns blazing, insulting other members and trying to cause trouble. It was your buddy the laundryman that came into my thread implying that I'm an idiot for wanting a 2x12 combo. It's not my fault if my response was interpreted as hostile, I just asked what his opinion of 2x12 combos had to do with my wanting one (the price of tea in China) and that maybe the point of my post exceeded his maximum height (went over his head). My apologies that comment put an undue strain on brain power for both of you. If either of you had been adults with any type of social skills, you could have just passed this by without feeling the need to post so don't come here now and preach to me about forum etiquette.

But, since you seem to know me so well and want to ass-u-me that just because you have everything delivered to a store, everyone else out here in the real world does the same thing let me share a little something with you. I have the stuff I buy from GC delivered to my house, because it's a 140 mile round trip for me to the nearest GC and pretty much costs me a day to the make the trip. I don't know about you, but I feel that my time is valuable so I weigh the cost of my time vs. the possibility of damage. I know that GC has a return policy, that's why I've felt comfortable buying used from them in the past. I've had lots of stuff delivered without a hitch, and this is the first thing I've ever had damaged in shipping but that's not the point of my thread, is it Sherlock?

Ok. And apparently you are looking for a hug or something?

Are you offering, or just another one of these internet teases? I'll be waiting. ?

And these comments?? OMG, you guys are killin' me! This is GREAT! This is an internet forum, you do understand that right? THESE comments, have me ROLLING! You both really need to get over yourselves. The only doses of reality being dealt here are that you both obviously don't understand the definition of the word irony. You should probably look it up sometime. You might then realize that apologizing to someone that "the world isn't nurf'ed for your feelings", while being butt-hurt that you're getting your ass handed to you on an internet forum is just too rich! Thanks for the laugh! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
